Clarinet

Hailed for her “ravishing dark straight tone, beautiful legato, and dead-on intonation,” (Roanoke Times) Candice Kiser has performed in orchestras nationwide including the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Erie Philharmonic, and the Louisiana Philharmonic. She joined the â¹û77¸£Àû faculty in 2019 and has maintained an active performance schedule as second chair at both the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra as well as the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra in Virginia. Alongside her live performances, she has also been involved with various recording projects including commercial, educational, and religious projects, many of which were for the Hal Leonard Corporation!

Prior to joining â¹û77¸£Àû, Prof. Kiser served on the faculty of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and Grove City College. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in clarinet performance from East Carolina University, and her Master of Music from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, with additional post-graduate studies at Louisiana State University. Her teachers include Nathan Williams, Eli Eban, Steve Cohen, and Richie Hawley.
